The Rostov Region Fishing Cup was held at the Veselovsky Reservoir on the Manych River from June 15 to 16. 11 teams and 23 crews participated in the Championship. The Rostov DON-TEAM team consisting of four people (Yuri Ponomarev, Vladimir Ponomarev, Stepan Soloviev and Andrey Borisov) and two crews became the winner in the nomination “Fishing from boats”. One of the crews acted on the Aluma fish boat of the Don manufacturer Aluma.

Yuri Ponomarev - one of the participants in the winning team. Rostov is 34 years old, 28 of which he enjoys fishing. Grandfather, father and older brother Vladimir, with whom Yuri speaks in the same team, instilled in him a love of fishing. In the dynasty of fishermen, only brothers engage in professional fishing. The man spoke about the unusual hobby, past competitions and why the team chose the winning boat “Aluma fish”.

The Cup of the region became one of the main starts of the year for DON-TEAM. The victory in the Cup of the region made athletes candidates for the Rostov Region national team to participate in the Russian Championship.

- The weather was not very. Veselovskoe reservoir is a wide, large water. An unpleasant wave arises even with a slight wind, at which fishing is very difficult, ”says Yuri.

Each crew in each round caught eight kilograms of fish, but the whole catch remained alive - the fish were released into their usual habitat after weighing. The largest were zander and pike - two to three kilograms.

One of the crews of the winning team performed on the boat “Aluma fish” of the Don company of the same name, which was founded by businessman Dmitry Korochensky. Athletes recently purchased a boat. The Cup of the region was the first test, which, according to Yuri, it passed 99 points out of 100. With its speed characteristics, the ability to confidently pass along the waves, build quality and internal logistics, it fully met the expectations of customers.

The founder and CEO of Aluma, Dmitry Korochensky, believes that the victory of the Rostov team once again demonstrated the high quality, reliability and safety of the Aluma fish series boats, because at competitions they are subjected to maximum loads and tests, operated for 12 or more hours in a row .
